Remove the butter from the fridge and cut into small pieces to help the melting process
Melt the chocolate in either in a microwave or in a pyrex bowl over some hot water (if you are doing it in the microwave, be careful not to burn the chocolate - the bowl approach will prevent that)
Add the butter to the chocolate and stir in until it has all melted
Stir in the syrup to the mixture
Add half the Krispies into a large mixing bowl and slowly add the chocolate. Keep adding them until you have completely covered the Krispies.
Use a spoon to scoop the mixture into cupcakes
Leave to cool
Optional - use the spoon and scrape the leftovers off the side of the bowl - eat immediately! Yum!
