Bagels are delicious at the best of times. But a bagel with a pizza topping is just completely next level. Kids LOVE pizza and this is a lunch that they can easily get involved in making because there really isn’t that much too it at all!
The trick with these pizza bagels is the tomato sauce and using the right cheese. For years I used tomato puree and cheddar. Oh how wrong was I (despite getting used to it!) Swap those two out for pizza topping sauce (yep has the herbs and the flavouring mixed in) and mozzarella cheese (pre grated) for that authentic pizza taste.

Toppings for Pizza Bagel
In this recipe we have only given the base ingredients. However, feel free to add some toppings to give a bit more flavour. If you are stuck for some ideas, we’ve listed some below that you might want to try.
- Mushroom (thinly sliced)
- Pepperoni
- Sliced Pepper
- Cooked sausage (frankfurters are surprisingly nice)
- Ham

Bagel Topped Pizza
Ingredients
- 1 pack Wholemeal bagel Pre cut if you can
- 1 tin Pizza Topping
- 1 pack Grated Mozzarella Cheese
- Toppings of your choice
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 190C/180C Fan
- PARENTS: Cut the bagel in half

- Cover the inside with a good amount of pizza sauce. We use a tea spoon to get it out of the can and then the back of the spoon to spread the sauce. Don't be shy with this part.

- Add some toppings of your choice

- Add a good covering of Mozzarella cheese to the top of the bagel

- Place on a baking tray leaving some space in-between each bagel

- Put into the over for 10 to 15 minutes until the cheese has melted.

- Allow to cool and then serve whole or cut up as smaller bites

- Watch them disappear off the plate
